Nikita is successfully undergoing rehabilitation!

6-year-old Nikita from Egorievsk is battling an extremely rare neuromuscular disease - central pivot disease (de novo mutation in the RYR1 gene). Only about 10 people with this diagnosis are known in Russia. Due to the disease, Nikita's muscles are severely weakened and he cannot walk. On September 16, 2024, Nikita underwent a complex surgery: Achilles tendon removal, ankle orthoplasty and foot tenoplasty. This surgery is an important step towards improving his condition. However, Nikita now vitally needs rehabilitation to consolidate the results of the surgery and improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, Nikita's family cannot pay for the treatment on their own - only his father works, and the family has an older son to care for.
