Adam is almost 9 years old, he was born with hypoxia, and was immediately registered with a neurologist. Specialists have diagnosed a disorder of psychological and behavioral development, general speech underdevelopment of level 1 with pronounced emotional and behavioral disorders.
Thanks to the well-coordinated work of specialists during the intensive rehabilitation course, the boy showed positive dynamics in the development of academic and physical skills. Adam has been introduced a new stage of the PECS alternative communication system, now he can request motivational items using a special card, it has become easier for him to interact with others.
During the course, emphasis was also placed on developing motor imitation skills and following instructions independently (both with and without a subject), and work was actively underway to improve visual and tactile skills. After intensive training, Adam gained a sense of balance, improved his large and small motor skills, it became easier for the boy to jump and run without the support of a coach, and pass an obstacle course.
During the rehabilitation, the child also underwent a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The use of hardware techniques had a beneficial effect on Adam's attention, reaction, and speed of thinking. The boy's understanding of spoken language has significantly improved, and the number of manifestations of undesirable behavior has decreased.
