Ahmed is 6 years old, he has delayed speech development, general speech underdevelopment of level 1 with autistic behavior, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. At the age of 1.5, the baby began to cry often, did not pay attention to the addressed speech and did not respond to the name, did not look into the eyes, played alone, toys quickly bored him.
The behavioral analyst conducted testing to establish the current level of the child's academic, communication, and social skills and barriers associated with undesirable behavior (VB-MAPP testing). Based on the test results, the goals for building an individual training program for the development of Ahmed's skills have been determined. The boy was introduced a system of tokens, the concept of "first-then", he learned to ask for desired objects and actions in a socially acceptable way (through a pointing gesture and a PECS card).
During his rehabilitation, Ahmed improved eye contact, expanded his vocabulary, significantly reduced the number of manifestations of undesirable behavior during the lesson, improved concentration, perseverance, and understanding of spoken language. Thanks to classes on sensory integration and adaptive physical education, the boy learned to keep his balance, run, jump, crawl, catch and throw a ball, overcome an obstacle course, and his large and small motor skills improved.
Ahmed also underwent a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy during his rehabilitation, which certainly had a positive effect on the development of cognitive functions of the child's brain.
