Due to a severe birth injury, four-year-old Amir Ashurov was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic hemiplegia. The boy was born at 39 weeks of gestation with a weight of 3,600 grams, but the delivery was difficult, and he suffered from asphyxia due to an umbilical cord around his neck. Unfortunately, these events had a lasting impact on Amir's development. Today, he walks with uncertainty and significantly lags behind his peers. To catch up with them, he requires ongoing rehabilitation. The boy's mother, Alexandra, says that she had anxiety very early. At five months old, Amir had an MRI scan, and the result was disappointing: the effects of stroke, cerebral palsy. "I was in shock, at a loss.: what to do, how to treat, where to contact? There were a lot of questions about how and when it happened, and it still interests me," recalls Alexandra. Amir has been undergoing periodic rehabilitation sessions for the past six months. During this time, he has made significant progress in his physical recovery. He has learned to sit, crawl, and walk short distances, although each step is challenging due to his rapid fatigue and spasticity in his leg and arm. Despite his efforts, Amir still does not speak or understand spoken language. Alexandra is raising her son alone. Due to the baby's condition, she is unable to work, so she does not have the funds for regular sessions with a physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist. Thanks to the support of all the caring users of the Tooba platform, we have raised money for a rehabilitation course that will help the boy learn new skills and become more independent.

Amir suffered a stroke and lives with cerebral palsy. Rehabilitation is required for the development of speech and movement

Due to a birth injury, Amir has cerebral palsy and spastic hemiplegia (half of the body is affected by paralysis). He is three years old, but he still walks unsteadily and lags behind healthy children in development. In order for him to get a little closer to his peers, the boy needs constant rehabilitation. “Since three months, I was worried that something was wrong with my child. At five months, Amir had an MRI. The result was a stroke, cerebral palsy. I was shocked, at a loss: what to do, how to treat, where to go? Since six months, my son has been undergoing numerous rehabilitation courses,” said the boy’s mother. Since then, he has gone through a difficult path of physical recovery: Amir has learned to sit, crawl, walk short distances. But he still has not learned to talk. Amir is being raised by a single mother. Due to the baby’s special needs, she cannot go to work, so she does not have the money for regular classes. This rehabilitation will help the boy learn new skills and become a little more independent. Let's support Amir together!
