Nurainat is 15, she has epidermolysis bullosa, a rare (orphan) skin disease. Due to a genetic breakdown, even a light touch on a girl's skin can lead to the formation of blisters and wounds. Such patients are figuratively called "butterflies".
Since birth, Nurainat needs daily bandages that protect her like a second skin. This is the only care scheme available to her and many other butterflies today, helping to minimize the manifestations of the disease as much as possible.
The usual hard Nurainat bandages are not suitable – they stick to wounds and only worsen skin damage. We need special mesh bandages with silicone coating, wipes and ointments that help protect the skin, reduce the risk of complications and make care less painful. Without regular bandages, a normal life for a "butterfly" is impossible.
Nurainat loves to draw and walk by the sea, but over the years it becomes more difficult for her to do all this: due to illness, her fingers and toes have grown together, and this makes it difficult for both movement and fine motor skills.
The Nurainat family is facing a serious financial burden: the cost of bandages and ointments exceeds their modest resources. Now the girl really needs help — her supply of dressings and care products is coming to an end.
