The diagnosis came as a surprise to the whole family: it was only after birth that it became clear that the baby had inherited the disease from his grandmother, who had been hiding the symptoms for many years. The boy grows up surrounded by relatives who are struggling for his future. The family has gone from confusion and fear to full involvement: parents have learned how to take care of Muslim's vulnerable skin, grandmother and older brothers are always there. Epidermolysis bullosa is a daily dressing that takes several hours. They require soft atraumatic bandages that protect Muslims like a second skin, and special means to prevent infections and wound healing. All this is expensive, and the family cannot always cope with such expenses on their own. We are raising funds for bandages and care materials for Muslim. For him, this is an everyday necessity, without which normal development and a comfortable childhood are impossible.
