Zakaria was born healthy, and his development in the first year was normal. When his parents consulted a neurologist, they learned that he had a pre-speech developmental delay. The medications helped, but did not give the expected results. The doctor recently diagnosed him with autism spectrum disorder with intellectual and speech development disorders. Zakaria has been studying at the center for 4 months now, and his achievements are impressive: he has learned to make a pointing gesture, his understanding of speech has improved, he has begun to respond to his name and uses several words for their intended purpose. Zakaria is a quick learner, but there is still a lot of work ahead. He needs regular classes so that he can understand speech, speak, and become more independent.
