Muhammad-Rasul's disease appeared suddenly and thundered out of the blue. When the baby was three years old, he suddenly felt bad: sharp pains, vomiting appeared, and the baby's tummy began to swell. Doctors at the children's hospital performed the first ultrasound examinations and informed the parents that the baby had a neoplasm in his liver. But they could not diagnose and prescribe the correct treatment in Tajikistan, and the mother and boy flew urgently to Moscow. With great difficulty the family managed to raise funds for an examination at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. There, specialists gave the child a final diagnosis: hepatoblastoma. The boy underwent 6 chemotherapies and was prepared for a transplant surgery. In October 2018 Muhammad-Rasul received a liver transplant from a related donor-uncle. At the moment the child is feeling well, he is very sociable and mischievous. To avoid organ rejection and other complications Muhammad needs to come to Moscow regularly for check-up examinations to evaluate how the transplant works and to adjust medication therapy. All examinations, tests, and other medical services for the boy can only be done for a fee, because the family does not have Russian citizenship and they are not eligible for quotas. It is very difficult to save money for frequent trips. The Abdullayev family has three sons with many children. Their father works in a gas plant, and their mother is responsible for the house, the household and, of course, the children. That is why the parents must periodically ask for help from concerned people.
