Thank you for giving Shifo a healthy heart!

Two months after her birth, Shifo began to fall ill and suffocate frequently. Medical examinations revealed that she has a congenital heart defect — an atrial septal defect. This condition causes an opening between the heart’s upper chambers (atria) that should not be there in a healthy person. Doctors in Tajikistan made the correct diagnosis but were unable to perform the surgery. However, without surgical treatment, Shifo cannot live a full life. Her parents brought her to Russia. Cardiac surgeons in Moscow are ready to operate and have given an optimistic prognosis: after the operation, Shifo will be able to grow, play, and enjoy life. Shifo is 4 years old now. She loves listening to fairytales, playing with her Barbie doll, and watching cartoons. But unlike other children, she can’t run around the playground without shortness of breath, climb stairs, or attend kindergarten — her heart can’t cope even with small physical exertion. Shifo does not have Russian citizenship, so she is not eligible for free treatment. Her parents have managed to save up a small part of the amount. Please help give Shifo the chance to live a full life!
