Amir was born with a rare heart disease — cardiomyopathy. His life began in reanimation and long weeks in the hospital. Now he is feeling better thanks to therapy. He smiles, plays with his brother and sister and loves fairy tales and pictured books.
But the disease is still there. Cardiomyopathy is a pathology that affects the heart muscle. Without proper therapy, a child with this diagnosis can experience cardiac arrest at any moment. Amir needs to pass through a complex examination: whole exome sequencing to choose the right treatment strategy and understand the causes of the disease.
Amir comes from a large family: his mother is on maternity leave, his father works, but their salary barely covers everyday needs. They are unable to pay for this analysis themselves. If we help Amir undergo the examination, doctors will be able to prescribe the most effective treatment for him. This is a chance for a healthy life for the little boy who loves music, glowing toys, and his mother’s warm hands so much.
Let’s give Amir the opportunity to fight the disease together!
