Amina is only nine, but she’s already a real hero. She loves drawing, sculpting with clay, and creating her own cartoon characters. She also runs a blog where she shares her creativity and her deeply personal story of struggle. Last year, doctors diagnosed Amina with acute leukemia and congenital immunodeficiency.
For nine months, Amina bravely battled cancer. She endured several rounds of grueling chemotherapy, spent a long time recovering, and—thankfully—won! Now, the girl is in remission, but her immune system remains very weak. To help her body fight infections, Amina needs special therapy, but her family can’t afford the expensive medication. Applying for subsidized drugs would take too long, and there’s no time to wait—every day counts.
Right now, Amina’s condition is stable. Thanks to treatment, she feels much better, though her fever persists. But most importantly, she needs monthly IV immunoglobulin infusions, which are unavailable in Ufa.
