Rimma Mikhailovna lives in a barrack - a small windowless room and a tiny room at the entrance to the house, which serves as both the entrance hall and the kitchen. There is no bathroom or toilet in the house. The "facilities" are outside. Grandma Rimma's house is a dilapidated and damp stone bag. Insects and mice breed in such conditions.
Having assessed the living conditions of the grandmother, of course the first thing we suggested was a placement in a home for the elderly. But Rimma Mikhailovna simply begged us not to do it, because she does not need any care, she is still quite mobile and strong. She even takes water from the street to the house herself. Granny Rimma said: "I want to live inside my own walls."
The old lady is lonely, she has already buried all her relatives, and there is simply no one to help her.
Rimma Mikhailovna still remembers the war, although the Victory Day came on her 8th birthday. And, having lived through many difficult years of the last century, her grandmother is patient about her difficult living conditions. But we really want to give her different living conditions.
We are asking for your help in making repairs to Grandma Rimma's house. You can't leave a person living like this and you can't force her into a nursing home. We very much look forward to your support.
The estimate includes removal of old coatings and replacement of all coverings (walls, floors, ceilings), windows and doors, and we will also make a water storage system in the house, and our volunteers will periodically fill the tank with water from the yard. We will also build a bio-toilet in the house.
Thank you everyone for possible help!
