Friends, you recently helped Lisa pay to find a potential donor for a bone marrow transplant. Thank you so much! The girl has already had the surgery and is feeling great! Here is the latest news. On 21st October she will be 180 days old after the transplant. There is a huge medical examinations ahead of Lisa. She is now in the second form, but she is still being educated at home. We hope she will fully recover soon and be able to go back to her favorite school. Olga, Lisa's mother, sends her words of gratitude: "You live a normal life and don't think that this could happen. The years-long struggle for a child's life and health begins. It is very important at a time like this not to be alone, without support. I am very grateful to everyone who did not pass by and helped my little girl! Thank you so much!" We also want to say thank you. You have given Lisa a chance to get better!

Lisa needs help paying for the search and activation of a bone marrow donor

With a cry of "Banzai!" Lisa jumps from the back of the couch onto the soft bed for a good shot. "More? Now!" - Again a jump, a somersault over her head, and here she is in a new immediate pose looking at the camera. In between she manages to explain what the word "banzai" means, and then begins to talk with rapture and knowledge about her beloved lions. The child's energy and perfectly healthy appearance are confusing. It is hard to believe that Lisa has a serious illness - chronic myeloid leukemia, which rarely occurs in children. Lisa has been battling the disease since 2019. The disease does not respond to standard chemotherapy: Targeted therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors is needed to suppress tumor cell growth. Lisa was treated with a first-generation drug (the drug Imatinib). After five months there were no positive results. The doctors decided to start therapy with second-generation inhibitors - the drug Nilotinib. The second therapy lasted six months and helped Lisa. To consolidate the results, she needs a bone marrow transplant. For this it is necessary to find a donor. There is no donor in the girl's family or on the Russian registry. But there is one in Europe - according to preliminary information, there are 700 people in German Stefan Morsch Foundation who can potentially help Lisa to make a full recovery. To find that very "genetic twin" requires high-precision, complex research. The foundation has already managed to collect most of the money with the help of caring people. The remaining amount is 268,100 rubles. We ask you to support Lisa and help her make a confident step on her way to recovery. Send a donation or share her story with your friends. Thank you!
