Baby Sulu has a rare congenital disease - craniosynostosis. One of the sutures connecting the bones of the skull closed too early. The skull stretched and became narrow. The brain does not have enough space to grow.
This is not just a cosmetic defect. If you do not operate, the bones will press on the brain. Vision problems, developmental delays, seizures, epilepsy may appear.
On July 10, in Moscow, at the Morozov Children's Hospital, the girl underwent her first operation. Surgeons sawed the bones, gave them the correct shape and secured them with titanium plates. The operation was successful. The child is recovering.
This is only the first step. According to international methods, the plates should be removed in two months.
The second operation is scheduled for September. If it is missed, the skull will begin to deform again and the treatment will have to be started over - with worse prognoses.
The family lives in Uralsk. In Russia, medical services for a foreign girl are paid. All the funds were spent on the first operation. There is no money left for the second.
Let's support Sula and pay for the operation. Let the baby grow up healthy, happy and active!
