Danya is 7 years old. He was born prematurely at 30 weeks, weighing only 1280 grams. From the first days of life, he has faced serious health challenges: he was diagnosed with periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), later with epilepsy (West syndrome), organic visual pathway disorder, motor impairments, and hip subluxation. In April 2024, he underwent SDR surgery on his legs. Currently, Danya has delays in speech and psycho-emotional development.
To maintain and develop his skills, Danya requires ongoing rehabilitation: physical therapy (LFC), sessions with a speech therapist, neuropsychologist, special education teacher, and defectologist. He is also under the supervision of a cardiologist and pulmonologist. He has already made notable progress: he can stand more confidently with knee support, better coordinates his hands, attempts to pronounce individual words, and knows numbers, shapes, and colors. His epilepsy is now in the “resolving” stage, and according to specialists, his vision has improved — he can recognize faces from 8–10 meters.
Danya is a curious and active child: he loves water, bathing in the shower, pool, and sea, enjoys fishing, and actively engages with his teacher, learning new skills. Without regular rehabilitation, there is a risk of regression, and the cost of therapy is unaffordable for his family, where only his father works.
