Vladislav is 10 years old. After the age of 2, the boy stopped making eye contact, speaking, and playing with toys. Specialists diagnosed him with early childhood autism.
As part of this rehabilitation course, specialists placed particular emphasis on developing the child's speech skills. Vladislav can pronounce words, but he does not have directed or spontaneous speech. Significant attention was given to practicing articulation: during the sessions, a set of articulation exercises was performed to work on sound pronunciation.
By the end of the course, Vladislav's understanding of directed speech had significantly improved, and both his passive and active vocabulary had expanded. Consistent work was done on developing syllabic structure in the child's speech—first consolidating the initial syllabic structure of words, then gradually introducing and practicing the second.
Vladislav also attended sessions aimed at developing his sensorimotor and physical skills. The boy's gross and fine motor skills, as well as his sensory and visual perception abilities, improved. With an adaptive sports coach, the child completed an obstacle course, worked out on various exercise machines, and used special equipment.
