Nikita Mokrushin is 9 years old. He has cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia with pronounced lower spastic paraparesis), which makes it difficult for him to move without assistance.
In December 2023, Nikita underwent selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) surgery at the Almazov National Medical Research Center, and in July 2025, he had SPML surgery in Greece.
Rehabilitation plays a major role in Nikita’s life. Thanks to regular sessions at the *Rodnik* center and daily exercises at home — on the treadmill, stepper, and bicycle — he has become noticeably stronger. Specialists note progress: Nikita can already stand on his own for up to five minutes and is taking his first independent steps. Each rehabilitation course brings improvement, but there is still a lot of work ahead. Doctors are confident that Nikita has every chance to learn to walk without support — if his training continues regularly.
Despite the difficulties, Nikita is a very determined and kind boy. He is in the first grade, studying individually. His mother, Kseniya, is raising two sons on her own and does everything possible to help her younger son recover. However, it is difficult for the family to pay for the treatment on their own.
Please help Nikita complete his next rehabilitation course and take another step toward his dream — walking independently!
