Amir has osteogenesis imperfecta, a hereditary condition characterized by increased bone fragility. He is now 20 years old and studying programming at the Samara College of Communications.
In the summer of 2023, while vacationing in Sochi, Amir fell off a swing and suffered a serious injury: two fractures in both legs. In August 2023 and 2024, he underwent two stages of leg surgery. Amir is now recommended to undergo ongoing rehabilitation twice a year, with regular monitoring, X-rays, and examinations.
He requires rehabilitation sessions to relearn how to stand and walk and maintain a high-quality life. Doctors recommend that Amir undergo six-month rehabilitation courses at two centers. Individual pool sessions are required at the MedGard Multidisciplinary Medical and Diagnostic Complex in Samara.
Post-operatively, Amir has already completed a rehabilitation course, which has shown positive progress. Specialized massage courses, exercise therapy, physical therapy, and swimming have helped Amir get out of his wheelchair, and he can now use crutches.
Let's help Amir take a swimming course in a pool with a specialist. This will bring him one step closer to walking independently without support!
