Medical Examinations Covered: Fundraising Report for Expectant Mothers

Nadezhda from Vyazma and Ksenia from Tomsk were told their children had a "congenital defect." Each of them is expecting their first child and is fighting for the health of their unborn daughter. Nadezhda's baby is suspected of having gallbladder agenesis, a rare defect in which the organ may be absent or underdeveloped. Local doctors advised terminating the pregnancy, but in Moscow, the mother was reassured: definitive conclusions can only be made after the birth and specialized examinations. Ksenia was informed that her daughter was diagnosed with a lymphangioma, a benign tumor in the neck and head. To plan a safe delivery and treatment for the child in Moscow, expensive tests are required, which are not covered by the compulsory health insurance system.
