Margarita is 7 years old and has cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia). She was born second from a twin pregnancy at 37 weeks and has been fighting for her health since her first days of life. Because of asphyxia and prematurity, Margarita’s development was delayed, but thanks to regular rehabilitation and her family’s dedication, she has made remarkable progress.
Margarita regularly attends therapy sessions that include physical therapy, botulinum treatment, and exercises to improve motor skills. She has learned to roll over, crawl, sit up, stand with support, walk along furniture, and use a walker for short distances. She can eat on her own, partially dress herself, and speak, though her speech is still not very clear.
Margarita is an active, kind, and cheerful girl. She loves playing with her sister, drawing, riding her adaptive bike, and helping her mom in the kitchen.
Her biggest dream is to take her first independent steps.
