Syymyk is a first and long-awaited child. How often do stories about sick children begin this way. Fate changes overnight.
The labour was difficult and lengthy; the boy was born very large, nearly 5 kg. A real giant. But only in the heaviest of conditions: blue, with double entanglement around his neck.
The baby was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit, hooked up to the ventilator. As it turned out later, the child had suffered a natal injury to the cervical spine.
Since then, Syymyk has been seen by a neurologist and receives ongoing treatment. "Three months at home and one month in hospital - that's how our 10 years of life have gone," shares his mother.
The parents are doing everything in their power to ensure that their son has a healthy future, and they are happy about his achievements. Syymyk understands speech, crawls, stands and walks with support behind his body. However, he does not sit, walk or talk on his own.
For treatment trips the child needs a compact wheelchair, because the existing one is too big and does not fit into the boot of a car and it causes a lot of inconveniences.
She is a family with many children and she cannot afford to buy a wheelchair.
