Last year, two large tankers sank in the Black Sea. This resulted in an environmental disaster that will take years to clean up. Recently, oil spills have become more frequent and washing up on the shores of the Anapa and Temryuk districts. All aquatic life, birds, animals, and local residents are suffering.
Novorossiysk is one of the cities that has devoted significant resources to saving the sea and continues to share all available resources with neighboring affected municipalities to combat the disaster. And our foundation, with your support, has become a key provider of humanitarian aid on the coast.
Now, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and thousands of volunteers are also struggling with the aftermath of the disaster. People are working in the cold and without adequate rest. Generators running on fuel and lubricants (F&L) are commonly used to heat field camps and provide snacks. Fuel consumption is colossal, and supply disruptions are common – all of this makes the use of outdated generators irrational, unreliable, and, unfortunately, unsafe. Sea rescuers need equipment for an autonomous power supply. This system will be charged by solar energy, safely replenish batteries, and last for many years.
We've already helped the sea in many ways, and thanks to you, we've been able to reduce our negative environmental impact! But now it's crucial for us to unite once again so that those who volunteer their time for our shared environmental safety can work in more sustainable conditions. Support the fundraiser!
