Eight-year-old Misha has cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, and visual impairment. He faces significant challenges every day. He can't yet sit up on his own and crawls on his belly, but he's making every effort: at home and outside, he confidently walks in a walker and takes steps with great joy, holding on to his mother. Misha loves walking, playing with his sister Nika, and watching cartoons on his tablet; these moments fill his life with joy.
Severe spasticity prevents Misha from relaxing, resting, and sleeping soundly. A weighted blanket will provide him with support: it helps his muscles relax better, reduces anxiety, and allows him to lie in the correct position, making it easier to fall asleep. A weighted blanket will help reduce pain and tension, helping the body recover during sleep.
In addition to Misha's weighted blanket, 11 other children are awaiting small technical rehabilitation aids and sensory development games for rehabilitation. A storage water heater is also needed for one child. Small technical rehabilitation aids are essential household items that help children perform daily activities more safely and easily, such as a sock-putting device or a bed rail for bedridden patients.
