Komron is almost five years old, and he has cochlear implants behind his ears. The devices help to cope with deafness, but to start speech, you need the help of specialists who work with children after cochlear implantation.
Komron's parents don't know exactly at what point their firstborn lost his hearing. The hospital's audiscreening did not reveal any violations. But closer to the age of one and a half, they began to notice that their son did not turn his head to the voice, did not react to loud noises. The examination showed 4 degrees of hearing loss in both ears.
Cochlear implants have been actively developed. Komron began to understand what his parents were saying to him, and began repeating individual words – "give", "bye", "go". When they started studying with a sign language therapist, the vocabulary grew and phrases began to appear. But it has not been possible to make a good breakthrough yet, for this, auditory-speech rehabilitation is needed. Now we need to work on the clarity of pronunciation so that the child's speech becomes understandable not only to parents, but also to everyone else.
They only have two years left before school. To catch up with your peers, you need to move by leaps and bounds. Let's support Komron on this path, let his speech become rich, correct and clear!
