Five-year-old Ilfat has been battling blood cancer for three years. The boy recently relapsed and needs expensive medicine.
The family found out about the boy's illness in 2018. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Treatment in his hometown of Astrakhan was successful, and he went into remission. It would seem that the worst is over.
But this year his mother noticed that the son became dull and lethargic, and immediately went to the clinic. When they took the boy's blood for analysis, he was bleeding in rivulets. It was the same in 2018. Even without tests, the mother knew immediately that the disease had returned.
The doctors prescribed Oncaspar to Ilfat, an expensive imported drug, one pack of which only lasts for 1 shot. For maintenance therapy Oncaspar has to be given every fortnight.
Parents cannot afford to buy the medicine and they ask for help from concerned people.
Before his disease, Ilfat was an active child, he liked to play with cars and watch «Fiksiks». But with leukaemia coming into his life he became less mobile.
Ilfat is a kind and caring brother. He takes care of his little sister to the best of his ability and loves to spend time with her. Next year the boy is going to school. Unfortunately, because of illness he did not go to kindergarten and only for three weeks he attended classes in the development centre, which he liked very much! He has been happily doing his tasks and interacting with the children. His mother hopes that his son will catch up easily and keep up with his peers.
Right now Ilfat's health is in the foreground. The injection Onkaspar is of vital importance for him! We can help him a lot to get the medicine! Everyone donates a little and the money will be raised!
Let's not stay aside and support little but brave Ilfat!
