Alsou has congenital hearing loss and needs rehabilitation to learn to speak

Alsu is 4 years old. She was born at 26 weeks of pregnancy and spent the first two months of her life on a ventilator. Later, it became clear that the girl could not hear. Alsu underwent cochlear implantation, which enabled her to begin perceiving sounds. Unfortunately, speech does not develop on its own after surgery. After receiving a hearing aid, the child's brain needs to learn to hear, understand the meaning of what it hears, and connect it with words. This requires regular and systematic work with specialists—deaf educators and speech therapists—who help build a path from sound to words and phrases, step by step. Alsu has already completed one course of rehabilitation, and it has yielded noticeable results: her speech has begun to develop. Now the girl attends a regular kindergarten and works with specialists on an outpatient basis, but this is not enough to maintain and strengthen her progress.
