Anisa has successfully completed an intensive rehabilitation course!

Anisa recently turned 8 years old; she has autism spectrum disorder and delayed psycho-speech development. After her first year, her mother noticed that the little girl did not understand spoken language directed at her and did not pay attention to people around her. The girl has not developed social and everyday skills, and she avoids contact with other children. Anisa's rehabilitation course included a combination of daily sessions and hardware-based procedures. She worked with specialists in ABA therapy, sensory integration, adaptive physical education, and with a speech therapist-defectologist. She also completed courses of therapy using the Tomatis method and hyperbaric oxygen therapy! The educators worked on developing Anisa's skills in making vocal requests, as well as two-word requests. The girl learned to describe objects presented by the specialist, and her phrase speech improved. Anisa became much better at following instructions, and the range of instructions she could follow expanded—now she can follow instructions based on location or adjectives. By the end of the course, Anisa learned to distinguish people around her by gender, for example, 'boy' and 'girl,' 'uncle' and 'aunt.' It became much easier for her to communicate with both children and adults. There have also been improvements in the development of visual perception, gross and fine motor skills—Anisa assembled structures from 3D blocks following a model and used glue to connect parts.
