Muslim is 2 years and 4 months old, a time of active exploration of the world and the first manifestations of independence. But every step carries serious risks for the baby – Muslim has epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare genetic disease in which the skin can be injured by any movement or touch.
To reduce the risks, the boy needs special bandages every day, protecting him like a second skin. A bandage for EB is a whole multi-layered system: an atraumatic layer that does not stick to the wound, spongy materials for draining fluid, soft silicone pads on the most vulnerable areas and special bandages for fixation that do not restrict movement and do not injure the skin.
Muslim's family is doing everything possible so that he can enjoy life, grow and develop. But care supplies are expensive, and the need for them is daily. We can support them in this situation.
The Butterfly Children Foundation opens a collection for bandages and care products for Muslims. Thanks to them, he will be able to live an ordinary child's life - to move, play and explore the big world around him.
