Oscar was born prematurely and in critical condition – he suffered a brain hemorrhage, which caused organic damage to the nervous system, cerebral palsy, and retinopathy of prematurity.
Dilara began researching her son's diagnoses, seeking specialists, and working with rehabilitation therapists, but, unfortunately, the consequences were irreversible. Today, Oscar is 12 years old. He doesn't speak or walk, can only sit with support, and his development remains at the level of a one-year-old.
"Oscar is a cheerful, beloved child; he loves swimming, going outdoors, and enjoys going to the sauna. He loves music and toys that make noise like rattles and that he can chew on. Oscar is almost blind and only responds to bright colors, so he loves light-up toys," says the boy's mother.
Oscar now needs a standing frame, as it prevents bedsores, osteoporosis, and contractures, improves circulation, and improves the function of his internal organs. Oskar spends most of his time lying down, which is having a negative impact on his health. Dilara is raising her son alone and can't cope on her own.
The "No Losses" Foundation is starting a fundraiser to pay for a standing frame for Oskar and asks for your support.
