Victor had to fight from the very first moments of his life: severe hypoxia, intensive care, 12 days on a ventilator, and tube feeding. He was only able to return home three months after birth, and from that moment on, a long rehabilitation journey began that continues to this day.
The diagnoses of cerebral palsy and epilepsy were confirmed when the child was one year old. His parents devote all their time, energy, and care to their only son. He doesn't speak, but he understands everything and loves to listen to stories. Vitya is an incredibly tactile boy: it's important for him to feel his mom and dad nearby; loneliness frightens him, even for a few minutes.
As Victor gets older, caring for him becomes increasingly difficult. Now he weighs 23 kg, and bathing is one of the most difficult moments. Vitya is afraid of water, and it's becoming increasingly difficult for his parents to hold him. A special bathing lounger could make this process safe and calm for both the child and the adults.
We're currently raising funds for a bathing lounger for Vitya. For some, bathing is a normal part of the day, but for the boy and his family, it's a difficult, physically and emotionally taxing process.
