Magdy is six years old. The boy has delayed speech development with autistic features and a general underdevelopment of the first level of speech. His problems began early: at the age of one and a half years, he suffered a severe intestinal viral infection, accompanied by a prolonged fever. Immediately after recovery, acute bronchitis followed, which turned into a chronic form. The doctors then diagnosed the presence of the Epstein-Barr virus. By the age of two, it became obvious that the child was withdrawing into himself, retreating into his own world.
Today, Magdi is able to pronounce individual words, has a limited understanding of spoken language, and is trying to interact with other children for the first time. However, in order to achieve significant success, the boy needs intensive courses of special therapy and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the cost of the necessary classes is high, and Magdi's family will not be able to cope with financial difficulties without outside support.
We can do a lot together. Let's unite and give the child a chance to go through the much-needed stages of treatment and recovery!
