Muhammad is nine years old. His diagnosis is mild mental retardation with emotional disorders. Shortly after birth, the boy ended up in intensive care due to lung problems, but after a while his condition stabilized. At the age of eleven months, Muhammad learned to walk, pronounce individual words, and even build short sentences. It would seem that the development went on as usual.
However, in two and a half years, the situation has changed dramatically. After entering kindergarten, the child suddenly lost many acquired skills: nutrition and sleep deteriorated, the ability to communicate normally disappeared, and alarming manifestations of fear and misunderstanding of the world began. Frequent bouts of aggression and irritation, loss of eye contact, sleep and eating disorders began.
The family had to start a long journey of examination and treatment, which continues to this day. Today, Muhammad has noticeably improved his behavior and perception of speech, has learned again how to respond to his own name, come into contact with people and form the simplest phrases. Nevertheless, the boy still has significant difficulties with speech and memory: new words are remembered slowly and with difficulty.
For further progress, the child needs additional rehabilitation classes, but the cost of the next course is excessively high for the family.
We can help Muhammad overcome obstacles and achieve greater success in his development!
