Ryan suffers from a rare disorder—early childhood autism, accompanied by significant speech impairments. Without specialized, comprehensive rehabilitation, Ryan struggles to interact with loved ones, receive an education, and become socially integrated. Since August 2020, he has been regularly attending specialized classes, including work with a speech and language therapist, behavioral interventions (ABA therapy), sensory integration, and swimming. Ryan has learned to respond to his name, demonstrate an interest in communication, understand adult speech almost a third better than before, and master an alternative way of interacting with the world around him—PECS cards. Now it's important to consolidate this success and continue moving forward. We ask you to support this common cause in any way you can.
