Leila is 6 years old. She has Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects connective tissue. Her joints are overly flexible, her muscles get tired quickly, and every movement requires effort. Because of this, Leila cannot walk on her own and полностью depends on adults.
At the same time, she is a very gentle and kind girl. She loves drawing, singing, and solving math problems — mathematics has become her true hobby.
Right now, Leila uses a regular stroller. An adult pushes it, and she cannot control where she goes. If she wants to move closer to other children or change direction, she has to wait for help.
Leila needs an active wheelchair. It is individually fitted, provides proper support, and protects her joints. Most importantly, it will allow her to move on her own instead of waiting for assistance. She will be able to roll up to children on the playground. Move closer to the table with paints. Get to her class or simply ride alongside her mom.
Leila has already tried such a wheelchair, and now she asks every day when it will finally be hers.
