Milana lives in a large family with many children. She has two brothers, an older and a younger one. Parents must pay attention to all children: feed them, wash them, put them to bed, play with them, and soothe them if they cry. Milana requires special attention. She was born with severe diagnoses: microcephaly and West syndrome.
Milana needs to be positioned and adjusted correctly, constantly changing positions. She eats through a gastrostomy tube, so feedings are drawn out. She also needs suction (to remove drool), as she can't swallow on her own. This goes on day after day. Her mother and father care for her day and night, so they desperately need a break for at least a few hours.
The foundation found them a nanny, Evgenia. Her help has been a real lifesaver. Evgenia is very kind, polite, and responsible. She handles Milana beautifully, and the parents have the opportunity to rest and recharge. We're raising funds to pay for a nanny for four months to help Milana and eight other children.
Please donate so parents of seriously ill children can have support!
