Elena has cancer with multiple metastases. The disease is very aggressive and Elena is in a lot of pain. Unfortunately, the pain medication given in the community has not worked for Elena and she needs a spinal port. This is a device that allows micro-doses of morphine to be injected into the body quickly and painlessly. This method is unfortunately not covered by the compulsory health insurance policy, so the operation can only be carried out for a fee. But the operation will give Elena a pain-free life, and she will also be able to stay awake, because the doses needed for administering the drugs are ten times smaller than for intramuscular injections.
Elena will also need to have another device fitted that will help to remove the fluid from her abdomen without waiting for a significant build-up. This type of fluid diversion is also not offered by the state oncology and because of this Elena has to undergo surgery regularly to discharge the pathological fluid.
Please support our project. Let's give Elena the gift of relief.
