Doctors noticed eye swelling and skull deformity at birth and referred her to a neurosurgeon for examination. Based on a CT scan, the doctors diagnosed craniosynostosis, that is, premature fusion of the cranial sutures.
In addition to visually noticeable deformation of the skull, craniosynostosis may be accompanied by high blood pressure, vision problems, and seizures. Later such a pathology leads to the fact that the child lags behind his peers in physical and mental development. There are psychological injuries, isolation, insecurity.
In order to correct the deformity of the skull, Ayar needs surgery to install implants. In his native Almaty, they only perform such surgeries with titanium plates, which must be surgically removed, which means exposing the child to anesthesia and stress again.
That is why her mother took the child to Moscow, where surgeons will install self-absorbable implants. The baby will be fitted with plates and her skull will be expanded, which will help her to grow and develop into a healthy, full-fledged child.
Treatment given at such a tender age gives her a better chance of recovery. Mom hopes that after surgery and rehabilitation, her daughter will be able to do gymnastics like her older sister.
