Ibrohim needs heart surgery

Ibrohim has a heart defect – transposition of the great arteries, a patent ductus arteriosus and a patent foramen ovale. This means that blood is not circulating properly and his organs are not receiving enough oxygen. His mother recalls that immediately after birth, her son appeared healthy. But within 24 hours, the baby’s condition deteriorated sharply; his skin turned blue and his breathing became irregular. Doctors examined the child and urgently transferred him to intensive care, where specialists diagnosed a congenital heart defect. Ibrohim’s condition is currently unstable; he tires quickly and is lethargic. Doctors in Tajikistan have advised that the child be transferred to Moscow. Here, cardiac surgeons are ready to help Ibrohim and recommend that the operation be performed as soon as possible, but the family cannot afford to pay for it.
