Masha is the third child in a large family who eagerly awaited her arrival. Unfortunately, Masha has had serious health problems since birth. She was unable to breathe, and at two months old, she received a tracheostomy, and at one year, a gastrostomy. Now Masha continues to be fed exclusively through the gastrostomy tube—it's the only way she gets the nutrients she needs.
Feeding Masha is a real challenge. Sometimes she pulls out the gastrostomy tube, but she can't give it up. Special tubes need to be changed regularly, but the law only allows for three tubes per year—very little. Her parents are forced to pay for additional tubes out of pocket, which becomes prohibitive.
Despite all the difficulties, Masha continues to thrive and attends school. But the most important thing is that she doesn't go without nutrition. With your donations, we can purchase gastrostomy tubes for Asha and other terminally ill children who need our help. Let's work together to make their lives a little easier!
