Vasilisa was born on time, but the birth was difficult: asphyxia, intraventricular hemorrhage. Two months in the hospital, then developmental delay. At 6 months, she began to have epileptic seizures that could not be treated with conventional medications, but a course of hormone therapy helped. At the age of one, Vasilisa was diagnosed with deafness. At the age of two, she underwent surgery to install a cochlear implant. Now she hears and understands everyday speech — this is a huge victory.
Thanks to dozens of rehabilitation courses, Vasilisa learned to walk at the age of 3.5. Now she goes to a correctional school, works with a sign language teacher, and takes antiepileptic drugs. She likes to walk, ride swings, and play with her brother and sister.
But the girl still does not speak, loses her balance when walking, and cannot serve herself on her own. In order to consolidate and develop her existing skills, Vasilisa needs a course of adaptive physical education (APE) and general massage. This will help strengthen her muscles, improve her coordination, and bring her closer to independence.
