Gamzat has a developmental delay, an autism spectrum disorder, and requires a comprehensive rehabilitation course

Gamzat is 8 years old. He and his brother, Khalid, have developmental disabilities and require specialist help. Gamzat has a diagnosis of developmental delay, alalia, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). During his first year of life, he developed according to age norms, but at around eighteen months, he regressed: he stopped making eye contact and lost acquired skills. His parents immediately began treatment and rehabilitation classes, beginning therapy immediately after the diagnosis. Today, Gamzat does not yet speak and does not always understand everyday situations, but he is actively striving to learn new things. Rehabilitation must be continued, as it is through these classes that significant improvements are achieved. The family is struggling to cope with the financial burden required to continue therapy, as they have a second child with the same diagnosis.
