Sara loves it when the whole family gets together. Evening gatherings around the TV are the best time for her. Sara's older brother went to school this year, and her little sister actively takes part in all his activities: she tries to imitate letter writing, draws, and pronounces the alphabet.
"Every mother thinks her child is the best," laughs mother Laura, "but Sara is really very caring and gentle, always paying attention to the little details - herself coming up, hugging and pitying everyone.
Sara in her two years shows a special desire for cleanliness. The little girl is sure to clean up after herself, although no one in the family has taught her that. "If something has fallen apart, Sara will not rest until she picks it all up," says her mother.
Last year, the girl developed a slight glow in her pupil. The mother decided to show the child to an ophthalmologist. So an on-duty visit to the doctor turned into a suspicion of retinoblastoma - a malignant tumor of the retina. The diagnosis was confirmed.
Sara underwent four courses of general chemotherapy and three courses of selective intra-arterial chemotherapy (SIAHT). In April 2021, Tooba benefactors helped Sara complete her last course of SIAHT - treatment is over. Sara is feeling well and has returned home to Kazakhstan for the summer. Now the girl needs to pass routine examinations in Moscow for control of the disease.
Let's help Sara to make one more confident step towards her dream - to be healthy!
