Kurban has been diagnosed with a developmental disorder of psychological and speech development with features of the autism spectrum. His developmental delays became noticeable at an early age: he did not respond to his name, speech did not develop, pointing gestures were absent, and repetitive movements began to appear. Kurban is now 7 years old. He still lacks speech and understands spoken language only at a basic level. He requires regular therapy to develop his speech and help him develop fully.
