Olya and other seriously ill children need syringes for feeding

Olya has a severe illness that impairs her swallowing. She can't eat normally by mouth and is fed through a special gastrostomy tube, which delivers formula to her stomach. Olya is fed by her mother, who feeds her five times a day. For each feeding, she uses two syringes: one for administering the formula, which is inserted into the wide part of the gastrostomy tube, and the other for water, to flush the tube after feeding. Syringes are a constant source of consumables, and their cost adds up to a large sum that the family cannot afford alone.
