Friends, meet Dave. He's only a few months old — still a kitten. Cheerful, curious, with big eyes and a will to live. But fate had other plans — Dave was diagnosed with FIP.
FIP is a difficult virus. It steals strength, appetite, joy. But Dave isn't giving up. He fights every day, eats a little bit at a time, plays when he has energy, and really wants to get better.
Dave is not alone. Right now, more than 20 cats at the "Devoted Heart" shelter are undergoing treatment for FIP. Each has their own story, their own personality, their own pain.
The medication that helps them is Esperavir. It stops the virus and gives them a chance at a full life.
Treatment is in full swing right now. Dave and his friends are receiving the medication, growing stronger, and slowly returning to a normal cat life. But our supply of Esperavir is running out.
We are raising funds for Esperavir for Dave and more than 20 other cats at the shelter.
Please support those who have already started fighting and don't want to give up. Let Dave and his friends complete their treatment and one day go to their real homes — healthy and happy.
