Amelia has cerebral palsy and needs an active wheelchair

Amelia is getting ready for school. She already goes to kindergarten, loves letters and the alphabet, and is curious about everything new — she sculpts, draws, and tries things as much as her movements allow. Amelia has cerebral palsy. She cannot walk and is now fully dependent on adults: she needs to be transferred, helped to move, and someone has to be рядом almost all the time. For a child who wants to choose where to go and what to do, this is a serious limitation. Right now, Amelia has a standard stroller. It is heavy and not suitable for independent movement — she cannot control it on her own. An active wheelchair works differently. It is lightweight, maneuverable, and individually fitted to the child and the way they move. In it, a child can learn to push the wheels, turn, stop — and gradually move without help. This is important not only for прогулки, but also for school: being рядом with classmates, taking part in activities, and choosing where to go independently. We are opening a fundraiser for an active wheelchair for Amelia. Let’s help her!
