Al-Tahir recently turned one year old. He is growing into an active, lively, and very inquisitive child. He is interested in everything around him: new toys, faces, sounds. He is drawn to the world and joyfully responds to the care of his loved ones.
However, his health already requires attention. Al-Tahir has a condition called premature fusion of the cranial sutures (craniosynostosis). Normally, the cranial bones are connected by soft tissue that allows the head and brain to grow together. In Al-Tahir, this tissue became dense too early. Because of this, skull growth is limited, and the brain becomes cramped.
The shape of his head has already begun to change. While the body is partially coping with this, without surgery, this condition will worsen. This directly hinders the child's development: persistent delays in speech, movement, and thinking can develop, which are then difficult to correct.
Doctors have prescribed surgery. During the surgery, neurosurgeons will carefully separate and reposition the skull bones so that soft connective tissue can form between them again. Special titanium plates are used for fixation.
The family cannot afford the necessary plates themselves.
Let's take care of Al-Tahir's health.
