Suleiman will soon turn seven. The first warning signs began when he was about two: he was noticeably lagging behind his peers. He didn't understand speech addressed to him, didn't respond to his name, avoided contact with other children, and often withdrew into himself, staring into space. His parents didn't give up and consulted various specialists. Ultimately, doctors diagnosed him with a delay in psychomotor development with autism spectrum disorder. Today, Suleiman is making great progress: he already partially understands spoken language, has learned to pronounce memorized phrases, vocalizes, and expresses emotion. However, for further developmental progress, he needs another rehabilitation course. Suleiman's mother is raising three children alone and lives solely on child benefits.
