"Kira is a normal child, but she's been disabled since childhood," says a teacher at the orphanage where the girl lives. She's calm and enjoys walks and fresh air.
Kira's mother is deceased, and her father has limited parental rights. Therefore, she has no family nearby who could be with her full-time. Kira herself can do almost nothing without adult assistance due to her health issues. She has difficulty moving, poor vision and hearing, and requires round-the-clock care.
The foundation met Kira during a visit to her institution and helped organize her trip to Moscow for an important rehabilitation and treatment program. A personalized support program has already been developed for her: doctors, teachers, and other specialists will work with her. They will help Kira learn new skills and improve her well-being.
But Kira can't make it this far alone. In an unfamiliar city, surrounded by hospital rooms, examinations, and new people, she needs an adult by her side—someone who will feed her, change her, support her, comfort her, and not leave her alone. For Kira, a nanny isn't a luxury. She's someone she simply couldn't cope without.
Help us pay for a nanny for Kira. Your donation means an adult next to a child who can't be alone. It's the care that will enable her to undergo treatment.
