By the age of 7, Madina had already learned not to trust adults. Even after she was placed with a foster family, the anxiety never went away.
Madina barely sleeps at night, is frightened by sudden noises, and may suddenly burst into tears or, наоборот, withdraw completely as if no one around her exists. At school, she struggles to concentrate. At home, even ordinary requests or hugs can feel overwhelming. Her foster mother says, “Sometimes it feels like she is always waiting for something bad to happen.”
The effects of orphanhood trauma do not disappear on their own. Behind what is often called “difficult behavior” there may be trauma, depression, or anxiety disorders. Only a psychiatrist can properly understand what is happening and help the child.
A specialist can help Madina reduce her constant fear, find the right treatment, and regain a sense of safety. This is not about “making children obedient with pills.” It is about giving a child the chance to live without overwhelming anxiety for the first time in years.
Your donation will help pay for psychiatric consultations for foster children supported by the “Find Family” foundation and give them a chance not just to survive, but to feel like children again.
